Lucerne Chaff.

Chaff is the fibre that is essential to every feed for horses. Adding chaff to grain slows down the intake of the feed and encourages horses to chew more producing more saliva which helps buffer stomach acids.

Calcium is a key to reducing the possibility of ulcers in your horses' stomach as it can adjust the pH and reduce the acid effect. Calcium is found naturally in legumes such as lucerne and clover. Feeding lucerne chaff and a good formula mineral supplement will provide all the calcium needed.
